Attorneys Title's Premium Rates

Please be advised that Attorneys Title has adopted the North Carolina Title Insurance Rating Bureau filing for title insurance rates. These are comprehensive rates so this means that all major companies in NC will be charging the same rates. There should not be any differences in rates for the same transaction just by virtue of the company that is issuing the policy.

Under this filing, the N.C. Department of Insurance has approved a new rating structure that is revenue neutral but increases fairness. Now premiums will be based on the risks of loss to the title insurance companies and not based on the status of the purchaser of the title insurance.

This “rate simplification” means that most special rate categories have been eliminated. Now we have base rates, higher premiums for expanded coverage policies, lower premiums for limited coverage policies, reissue rates and Closing Protection Services premiums.
